Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 146 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.
How to Pack a Shoebox
Grab a Shoebox from the foyer this Sunday
We have 100 pre-printed shoboxes to fill.
Girl or Boy?
Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Grab a label and a box!
Fill with Gifts
Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.
Bring your shoebox gift to the Bridge Church on or before Sunday, November 19th, 2017. Remember to have a check for $9 for each box.
